There is so much in a name. There is significant meaning and promise.
When we chose the name Homestead Elementary we knew that we wanted a name that embodied what we feel is the most important thing, the home.
Everything starts in the family and in the home. It is the way God designed it. He works in and through families. He is a relationship God. He established the family, and we want Him to work in us and establish us here at Homestead Elementary, as a precious family of learners.
When your child comes to learn at Homestead Elementary we want them to feel like they are at home. Like they are sitting around a table with us, learning and talking together, and building relationships together, just like they would if they were at home with their own family.
Relationships are at the heart of everything that we do at Homestead. When a child feels loved and encouraged, and intimately known, then they feel safe to learn and to explore, and to try new things that they didn’t think they could try before.
We want our children at Homestead to love learning, to want to be taught, and to look forward to being with their teachers and their friends. We want the children at Homestead to feel safe, and to come to know the living God, to learn to talk to Him and to pray to Him, and to trust in Him.
There is no one more faithful than our God. He is the best thing we will ever have in this life and in the next, and He is the author of all knowledge, wisdom, creativity, and love. We give Him our adoration and we thank Him for giving us Homestead Elementary. He is the author of the name of our beloved Homestead Elementary.
